Jason Joins Mortal Kombat X On May 5

We knew he was coming but now we know when .

According to IGN , developer NetherRealm has confirmed the release date for a new Mortal Kombat X playable character: Iconic "Friday the 13th" villain Jason Voorhees.

He'll be available on May 5 and even though we don't get any fresh screenshots or gameplay, we're certain he'll be pretty freakin' deadly. Jason is the first of four extra characters coming to NetherRealm's well-received fighter; the other three are Predator, Tanya, and Tremor. They're included in the game's $30 Kombat Pack, although everyone can try the DLC characters for free.

Mortal Kombat X is a great, albeit brutal, fighter. Have you played it yet?

He's the only one I want so I wasn't shelling out 30 bucks just for Predator, Tanya, and some guy from the special forces game.
Once I realized how fast the Witcher 3 is approaching I'm kind of regretting getting this at full price. It's a good entry in the series, but a fighter just can't match the longevity of a good rpg.
