The release date for Project CARS is now set in stone: The anticipated racer has gone gold.
It will launch on May 7 in Europe and May 12 for North America, a fact developer Slightly Mad Studios just recently revealed. Plus, they've been offering more details at the game's Twitter page (and summarized by Paradiger ).
The team also unveiled 8 more tracks – including the iconic Nurburgring – and the possibility of seeing 45 cars on one track at the same time! Obviously, it'll depend on the size of the track but it's still pretty damn impressive. One other tidbit for the hardcore racer: Slightly Mad confirmed that pit stops will actually be mandatory in Career Mode. Hell, even Gran Turismo never made them mandatory, unless you count the endurance races where your tires would shred if you didn't pit.
Project CARS is undoubtedly one of the most visually striking games of the new generation. But it still has to deliver on the gameplay front; this is a racing simulator, after all.

im taking my sweet time with bloodborne and feel like i need a break. its not you, its me.
I saw the track list and the performance review from DF… I'm pumped!!
Buying this game for sure!
I was really REALLY hoping for more wheels to be supported by the PS4 by the time the game launched. Looks like I'll have to head to my PC with this one.
I hear ya DemonNeno. I preordered the PS4 version but I'll also have to pick up the PC version so I can use my wheel. I'm going to try my hardest to enjoy it on the PS4 using a game pad but…. I suck with a game pad so I'll probably end up on the PC.
I really hope this game delivers. I've been waiting for it to go gold for a while now.
yeah totally but i'm super keen for a mean as racer and am hoping that this is it so here goes project CARS give me some mean circuit racing action
