First, it was supposed to come out at the end of 2014. It got delayed until February.
Developer CD Projekt Red promised they wouldn't push it again…but it got pushed again.
As such, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt ended up sitting on May 19. But here's the good news: The delay saga ends on that day because the game has officially gone gold. Said studio boss Adam Badowski:
"We worked so damn hard over the past three years to bring you this game. From the corrupt nobles in Novigrad to ancient monsters lurking in deep forests, to the bustling cities, colorful ports and breathtaking vistas; all the people, all the places–we literally spent tens of thousands of hours to turn all that into an adventure that will kick your ass and make you want to come for more."
Expectations are through the roof but if there's one game out there that could actually meet such lofty expectations, this is it. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, and it offers probably around 100 hours of gameplay for most. 200 hours if you want to see and do absolutely everything. Just wow.

I am really looking forward to this game. I just wish they had done a re-master of the Witcher 1 and 2 for the PS4.
I hope this game delivers. I know nothing about the series, but I'm exciting for this game!
