Okay, so is Rockstar finally done with Grand Theft Auto V ?
If so, can we assume they've moved on to their next project? I think it's a new Red Dead and if that's the case, I think we need a brainstorming session.
What do you want to see?
Red Dead Redemption wasn't perfect but it was darn close in my estimation. However, I can say that given the better technology, I think many improvements can be made. Firstly, I believe we can start adding those role-playing-like elements that we're starting to see in a lot of sandbox titles. In other words, I'd like to be able to advance the level of my protagonist. If not a level, maybe he could become more proficient in various things as time goes on; the more he uses a rifle, the better he gets, and the more he rides his horse, the better he gets.
Speaking of which, that's another option: Maybe we could add depth to the whole frontier existence. The horses in RDR were all the same but as any cowboy knows, that's hardly true in reality. They should be as diverse as the cars in GTA; sometimes you get a nag and every once in a while, you alight upon a fiery steed. You'd be more apt to keep a good horse protected, and maybe save him for the tougher missions, for instance. And maybe you could even run your own farm! Well, that's taking it a touch too far…doing that might shift the focus.
Ideas?

I'd like to see historically accurate recreations of the famous places, and maybe the legends of the west too.
cowboys and six shooters meet lasers…..and aliens. boom.
cowboys and six shooter meet katana…..and samurai. banzai…
Weren't there faster horses in RDR? I honestly don't remember if that white stallion was faster or not. The first was so good I think it will be really hard to top. I don't know if I would even want a fresh story or have the previous one continue. My main hope is that they ditch last gen and give us an even bigger more detailed wild west to explore. Since the towns are smaller, it would be really cool to add a lot more depth there. Have every shop and building serve a purpose and have each town built on a one to one scale and be completely interactive.
The fastest was a black one. Not sure how to acquire it other than getting it through the rockstar club.
Bigger map, better graphics and 60fps.
I feel like a filmic approach like they used in the Order 1886 would be perfect for this one.
Yes!
Good ideas there, Ben. I'd like to see more RPG elements too, the farm idea is great as a side game (kinda like when we had the gang areas in San Andreas, or the businesses in Vice City Stories).
I'd also like to see character creation. Yes, I want to choose a female protagonist, all they need is two sets of voice tracks, like they do in Mass Effect. It works perfectly there, so there's no reason it can't work here too.
Have your own ranch – hire people to run it, expand it (breed better horses, obtain cattle (could steal from other ranches), run a moonshine operation, etc), protect it from outlaws. Gold mining – same sort of thing, develop and protect your mining operation. Could also expand that to take over other businesses in towns.
Could spend all day thinking up others, but that is a start.
The don't need to change a thing. The first game was amazing. Just give me more of the same with better graphics and I will be in heaven. No RPG elements please. If you want that, then wait for the next Fallout.
I really hope they are working on something else.Rockstar can't and probably won't be using the same two ips continuously.I'm positive they are either working on agent or a new IP,they aren't ubisoft or Activision.
couldn't stand the first…..travelling around on horses is awful.
really hope they don't do a rdr2. Would much prefer Agent.
