BioWare Can’t Say When Inquisition DLC Comes To PS4

Xbox One and PC players got the Jaws of Hakkon DLC for Dragon Age: Inquisition today.

But PlayStation 4 players didn't. Timed exclusivity and all that.

For further info, we turn to BioWare executive producer Mark Darrah, who says on Twitter that this expansion will eventually come to Sony's console, but they can't discuss it right now.

Darrah asks that PS4 owners be "patient" and to understand that as Jaws of Hakkon is a timed-exclusive for Xbox One and PC, that special deal means they can't talk about the length of this arrangement. Yeah, well, we expect it to be about a month; that's how long we have to wait for Call of Duty DLC, so it's probably similar.

In Jaws of Hakkon, players will "discover the fate of the last Inquisitor and the powerful dragon he hunted." But again, just be patient.

"Be patient". Not because we are working hard to deliver a good product to consumers but because we were paid to hold off on releasing it to you.

I tried to get into DA:I but there's to much good stuff I'm playing right now and couldn't get going. It moved a little too slow for me, and nothing developed quickly enough to keep me entertained. So I'll accept this news, but still hate timed exclusive crap.

Like you, I tried to get into DA:Inquisitor but couldn't. For some strange reason, this game failed to capture me when the first two had me hooked by day one.

I plan on getting rid of it now.

And people playing Destiny have to wait a year for Sony's timed DLC exclusivity to expire. I agree that it's annoying, but it cuts both ways.

Since EA/BioWare wants to take $$$ from microsoft so PS4 owners have to wait longer for DLC, I'll just go ahead and wait to buy the game. In fact, whether I even buy the game at all seems more and more unlikely. I don't need to be "patient". I can just play other games from other publishers who want my business instead of pay-offs.

ENOUGH!!! First Bioware caves to the SJW's and feminists and now they take payoff bribes from Microsoft! I am done with anything Bioware does as I am done with anything Square-Enix does! This has gone far enough! It is quite apparent that the video game industry is becoming just as infected as the movie industry!
Corrupt, greedy sons of bitches think they can just walk in and do whatever they like?! Eye for an eye you motherfu**ers! The time has come.

If they're corrupt, greedy sons of bitches who do whatever they like, why are they 'caving' to these 'SJWs and feminists'?

What has 'gone far enough'? Exclusivity? Because that's becoming less and less of a thing as generations go by, not more.

What is this 'infection' you speak of?

I'd be pissed if I actually played the game but I don't so I don't care… I don't know why but I just couldn't get into this game at all

Timed exclusivity deals and DLC packs and patches. These are the reasons I don't buy games day one. I've got plenty to play that I can wait 12-24 months for the release of a Complete Edition and get a finished product.

I seem to be one of the few here who loved 'Inquisition' and is genuinely missing not being able to play the new content. But I take solace in my huge backlog, which I can always rely on these days when waiting for add-ons or a recently delayed title.

I know I'm in the minority but I really loved Dragon Age II, while the gameplay was simple and the level design was on par with the N64 version of Gauntlet Legends the story and my part in it really enthralled me.
To be clear I put close to 100 hours into Dragon Age Inquisition, I finished the main story around the 85 hour mark, and by the end had completed the majority of side quests and Dragon battles. The world was massive and gorgeous, but incredibly empty, filled only with meaningless fetch quests. After the first 20 hours I thought the story had finally hooked me but by hour 40 I realized how lacking it truly was. I continued through the game in hopes that I would find the hook that I had with Dragon Age II, but I never did. I was going to hold onto the game so that I could play the DLC but after a moment of honesty with myself I accepted that it would only be more of the same, combat with not challenge or tactic, find this item and take it to this person, and level up to beat this boss. So rather than continue to waste my time I traded this game in. Bioware needs to make some serious changes if they hope to get my money with the sequel because simply making a larger world doesn't cut it.
