Ben-DutkaIf you've been enjoying the episodic series so far, you're ready to download Episode 3.
The third episode of the acclaimed Game of Thrones series from Telltale Games, called The Sword in the Darkness , is out today (March 24) for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3.
To celebrate, the developers have thrown up a new trailer over at the PlayStation Blog (check it out below). And here's a brief snippet, mostly spoiler-free, concerning the new story:
"Asher, the exile, heads to Mereen in search of an army to take on the Whitehills. Meanwhile, far across land and sea in Westeros, Mira must deal with the lethal politics of King’s Landing. Her family’s safety is paramount and she will do anything to protect them, but nothing is given freely, and her choice of allies may soon come to haunt her."
We didn't get a chance to review Episode 2 but feel free to check out our analysis of the first episode . Like most stuff from Telltale, it's a gripping, involving drama, and well worth experiencing.

I'll be getting this purely based on the lore of TGoT. But aside from Jurassic Park, these games are not Telltales best efforts. Episode 1 was decent because of surprises. Episode 2 was very lackluster in comparison.
The biggest downside for me is the lack of consequences in decisions. This is the perfect game for "oh crap" moments based in decisions but instead they are mostly meaningless and don't have the effect your choices did in other games.
But if you are a fan of the show this is a good alternative story line that flows with the show well.
Can't even see 2 on the store. How many of these will there be? I wanna just get the whole game. I hate episodic releases.
There will be 5. You have to search for them by the whole name. For example: The Game Of Thrones Episode 2. I found this out with Tales from the Borderlands. Why it's that way I have no idea. It's a bit ridiculous though.

Enjoying it so far but I do wish that my actions affected the big events a little more.

yeh seems very much like your actions dont affect the main aspects of the game, i would prefer alternate stories and major changes depending on what you do and not little things like choosing your sentinal yet the outcome is the same.
