John-ShepardLayoffs are never any fun.
As reported by Eurogamer , Driveclub developer Evolution Studios has been forced to let some people go.
Sony didn't announce the exact number of people affected by this move, but in a statement to GameSpot , the company did explain how the studio will tackle the future:
"Evolution Studios will now focus on Driveclub as a service going forward, in particular, the important launch of the PS Plus Edition. We will be restructuring Evolution Studios to ensure that SCE WWS and in particular, Evolution Studios are in the best position to achieve these goals.
Our first-party development studios are key to our creative strategy and we are very excited about the future projects being worked on and the role Evolution Studios will play."
Evolution has been around for a while, you know. They've been producing high-quality titles in the racing genre for over 15 years, so we're really hoping they stick around. Besides, there are many gamers still waiting on that promised PlayStation Plus version of Driveclub . The sooner the better, please.

lol. Im not sure about that since they aren't owned by Sony, but the odds of another Order game is pretty damn slim.

That sucks for them… I really hope Sony learned their lesson after this and never released an unfinished product… It's quite sad really bc Driveclub is a great game and I think it would've sold even more if not for all the bad press it got for servers going down for so long… Hope Evolution survives through this
