Another promising title runs away to 2016.
Publisher Deep Silver has announced that Homefront: The Revolution has been delayed until next year. It was originally supposed to release later this year for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
The 2011 original Homefront was a solid game, sporting a great concept that simply needed more time to cook. After former publisher THQ went down, Crytek snapped up the franchise in an auction, and then later sold the IP to Deep Silver. As an explanation for the delay, Deep Silver chief executive Klemens Kundratitz said:
"We are giving the team every opportunity to turn Homefront: The Revolution into a best-selling title, and have set a 2016 release date to provide them the time they need to achieve this. You can expect to hear more about the game later this year."
The team working on this game is little-known Dambuster Studios, formed back in July 2014 and based in the UK. They say they believe they're "working on something special" and we hope they're right. And if they need more time, so be it.

wasnt a fan of this game so the affect on me…0%
I can't imagine what it will be or look like. If they can't use the CryEngine won't it necessitate some crap-down-ification.
Deep Silver doesn't really have anyone that can handle smoothness.
I did like the first one, but all these years later now it doesn't matter anymore. It has been too long.
well take all the time you need to make this an amazing game cos it looked great i the tralier and i want this game to be amazing and i'm sure they( the devs) want it to be awsome too and i'm sure if it is great it will go on to be an best selling title
happy gaming
I just want to say that I loved the shit out of Homefront multiplayer!
The single player campaign was pretty meh, but multiplayer was solid.
I have high hopes for this new installment, and if they keep the mp awesome.
i liked the robot tank in the SP
