According to industry insider Tidux , it seems production has begun on a new PlayStation 4 exclusive project. The game in question is a "long-awaited IP from the PS2 era," which certainly leaves us with a lot of possibilities.
How this is written is a little misleading. Is he talking about an IP that was supposed to release during the PS2 generation but never did? Or is he talking about a franchise, or existing IP, and a developer is working on a fresh entry? Me, I'm thinking it just has to be "Chrono Break." …okay, laugh all you want.
Seriously, though, any ideas?

I would be quite happy with this. Legend of Dragoon was the only PS1 game I brought to Uni with me.
That wasn't a PS2 IP but boy would I love me a sequel. Dragoon is one of my favourite RPGs one the PS1.
Goodness, don't even tease me with 'Chrono Break.' I hate getting my hopes up.
A new 'Jak' would be awesome, but I would want it to be developed by Naughty Dog, and they already have their hands full.

It'll be something we already sort of know about, but perhaps isn't officially official yet.

I know some of these weren't on PS2, but once can hope right? lol
@Ben, further to the ambiguity of the message, he also says "from #PS2 era", which doesn't necessarily mean it was a PS2 game. It was just in that era… which is early 2000s?
I'm just throwing shit in the mix. I don't have a clue as to what this game will be.

Maybe Bully 2? That's technically from the PS2 era even if it did eventually get ported to XB360 and Wii. Also probably the one with the biggest demand from that gen.
Oh wait, PS4 exclusive, never mind. Rockstar/T2 would have none of that these days.

"Sir, no one takes The Last Guardian seriously anymore. We could release that IP tomorrow, and people would be reluctant to waste a trip to their local stores to purchase it, as they would STILL fear it might still be vaporware. If you want to generate interest, PLEASE, don't mention that! It only garners sad, pitiful laughs these days… Are you suggesting we bolster the funding for it?"
"Just something I… Err, never mind. I guess I just dreamed it… Hmm… What if we were mysterious like Nintendo. They never seem to die, no matter what. Maybe mystery is the trick??? Get the forums and blogs speculating, by not actually announcing the IP. Maybe we can gauge where the customer interest actually lies? Now people, I want REAL ideas!"
