It's no secret that PlayStation 4 hasn't exactly delivered a slew of top-tier AAA exclusives (yet).
So, we asked the community what they thought of the current game selection and the response wasn't surprising.
While many said the library is sufficient for now, most said it's only "fair" and it's clear that many PlayStation aficionados are lying in wait for great games like Bloodborne , Uncharted 4: A Thief's End , and new installments in the Gran Turismo and God of War franchises. we could also use more new IPs like The Order: 1886 , despite the sheer amount of controversy Ready at Dawn's title generated.
This week, after learning about the worldwide release date for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain (September 1, 2015), we want to know: How stoked are you? Are you just foaming at the mouth, ready to rock already? Or are you mostly indifferent? Let us know.
I would say it's pretty typical of the first year for any new console. I mean as good as the Wii U and 3DS library is now the first year for both devices, the library wasn't much better than what were seeing now with the PS4.
I'm always surprised when people get upset at the lack of new content for new hardware. It's the same situation each generation. Besides don't we all have plenty of games from the previous generation to hold us over until the next gen games truly arrive?
I would usually say yes but personally I didn't have much to play on PS3 after the PS4 launched BUT, I have plenty to tide me over on my Nintendo devices until Sony starts pumping put their AAA games. Thus is the benefit of being a multi-console owner.

I'm with LV, although typically around month 15 you see things turn around. Hopefully that means we'll see an influx of great games annny day now.
yeah not too surprising i had the stance of have no complaints but the library is okay not amazing so i was a bit imbetween but i think for the most part peope are waiting for those big games coming up soon like bloodborne and unchartered and MGS laster this year and R&C whenever that comes
happy gaming
I think the notion that I don't own a single PS4 exclusive says a lot about the situation the PS4 is in right now.
METAL GEAR! Yes! Day one purchase without a doubt! This is what I bought the PS4 for, to experience this amazing game in full 1080p/60fps. I feel this game is just so far ahead of the rest in the sheer scope of what you can do. But not only that, the games narrative is what is so interesting. Admittedly the story of Big Boss has slumped within the two previous portable titles but The Phantom Pain is getting right into the core of what I have wanted since MGS3 – in displaying Big Boss turning bad, not misunderstood and fighting for a different ideology, where he is actually the hero. No. Big Boss is spirit is going to be broken down and he is going to become ruthless and it will be one of the most compelling stories within gaming. Reason enough to be excited I think.
