Sounds like Naughty Dog is kicking things into high gear.
As noted by PowerUpGaming , the studio is hiring like crazy; there are plenty of job listings currently available, and they even offer a promotional video that tries to entice prospective applicants.
They're looking for a number of artists, designers, and programmers, and you might notice they're also seeking a multiplayer level layout artist. Why? Well, they wish to present the player with "beautiful looking and beautifully playable multiplayer levels from existing single player art." There's little doubt as to which game you'll be working on; the team makes it plain that Uncharted 4: A Thief's End is a top priority.
If you think you've got what it takes, check out the 3-minute promo. Yeah, Naughty Dog is a wicked cool company.
Related Game(s): Uncharted 4
Does anyone else not even touch the MP portions of these SP games?
Just you ;). The mp is also a good aspect of it, it isn't half-assed like tomb raider. It works as well as single player with all of the same mechanics.
Hardly just him. I would never touch them if I didn't have to review the games.
I haven't touched TLoU MP just because lack of time. Played some U2 multi tho back in the days and it was lots of fun! Sadly I don't expect to have time for U4 multi… 🙁
TLoU has the BEST MP I've ever played. You should try it.
Not anymore, cause of experience: They are not as good as the games built for mp. As logic would dictate.
I think I've only come by one exception to that rule: Crysis 2 had really good mp, imo.
I thought TLOU multiplayer was exceptional.
So you wouldn't touch the mp unless you have to review. Everyone has tried to copy UC2 mp since it came out afterwards. No game has done what UC mp does and it is really good. It is considered one of the better tps mp on the PS3. Better than gears of war.
The mp in both TLOU and as Uncharted series as it progressed is very good. It's a lot better than given credit, mainly because ND creates exceptional sp experiences. TLOU mp is some of the best simply because of the creativity and gameplay behind it.
ND does different, not the same ol' stuff, and it's nothing short of good.

I'd thought it's kinda late to hire folks *now* for something that's due to be released this autumn, isn't it?
Probably they need to find new folks who know how to make UC4 run on 60fps…
I've already said I wouldn't be surprised if this got delayed. Which I'm totally fine with.
Although I see this happen a lot, and I seem to recall ND doing this in the past. However, if this does get delayed I'd have wished I never saw the release window! 😉
But that's how it is.

I wouldn't say it's too late. Their goal is most likely trying to future proof the company.
Maybe they underestimated the amount of time to perfect their games this generation, and just needed to boost their ranks with quality new-hires.
I haven't looked at the job postings, but I doubt they're just looking for temporary employees…maybe temp-to-hire at the very least?
Never to late to add some employees!
well i think that says it all and why they are like the best in the world and what they do and at making games period they are just that good
happy gaming
