The September 1, 2015 worldwide release has been confirmed , and now it's time to check out the special packages.
Konami has announced a Day 1 Edition and a Collector's Edition.
The latter bundle will retail for $99 (£99 in the UK) and it'll feature a half-scale replica of Snake's cool bionic arm, along with a collectible Steel Book, a behind-the-scenes documentary and collection of trailers on a Blu-Ray disc, a map, and unique packaging. Fans will also enjoy several DLC items, including weapons and costumes.
If that's a little too pricey for you, you can simply pay the regular retail price when the game launches- $60 – and get the Day 1 Edition. This nets you some DLC as well (although not as much as comes with the Collector's Edition), as well as a physical map. You can see the full detailed lists of goodies here .
And don't be too annoyed at missing out on this super sweet MGSV-themed PS4 . Japan still gets a lot of great stuff that we don't.

Take my money!!
This is my favorite franchise but I don't think the collector's edition is worth it. What am I going to do with a bionic arm?
I'll just pre-order the regular edition.
An arm!? Was hoping like a nice collectable statue of snake 🙁
I'm more interested with Quiet boob statue…

I don't care how superfluous some of this stuff is, I'd pay just about anything for my favorite franchise.
Keep the added junk just give me the game!
The confirmed release date is a gift in itself. The only bad thing about this is waiting. Feels like waiting for MGS4 all over again.
Hmmm. I'm a sucker for steel books, but I'll probably just get the day one copy. Why no Yoji Shinkawa art on the special edition cover? If that's his artwork it's not in his signature illustrative style.
Why did I have to see that PS4!? My whole game room has a black and red color palette. It's beautiful. Why do we never get these?!?!?

Day One Edition for me. I'm not paying 100 pounds for a Toy.What's annoying is that In Japan you have a 'special Edition' which is essentially the rest of the content without the Arm and the a 'Premium Edition' with includes the arm. If I had the equivalent of the Special Edition in the UK, I'd have bought that, but i'm not paying so much for a toy of an arm… honestly, what on earth would I do with it? 😛
This is me! Everything is awesome! I'll miss that extra 40$, but for a behind the scenes doc, map, and an arm it's worth it. Provided your a die hard fan.
