Destiny Update: Inferno Crucible Mode, Mobile Vault

The Destiny experience is about to get that much more robust and rewarding.

As per Bungie's Weekly Update , the developer has big plans for the MMOFPS.

First on the list is the oft-rumored Inferno Crucible Mode, which will be ready to go next week (March 3, to be exact). The idea of this mode is to focus on basic combat and "achieving more with less." Here, there will be no radar that warns you of nearby opponents, and as Bungie says:

"We're hoping this change will provoke players to rely even more on certain skills like map knowledge, teamwork, good positioning, successfully flanking opponents, using jumps to set up ambushes, catching audio cues like footsteps, and using friendly nameplate UI as clues toward enemy position. Lack of Tracker should also indirectly reduce the effectiveness of Supers and Heavies, and make the mode more about basic gunplay."

You can see a breakdown of all the new Inferno multiplayer features through the link above; this includes the maps where Inferno will be available. Furthermore, you will find details about the updated Destiny Companion; we get a new Mobile Vault management feature that lets players transfer gear to and from your vault. Bungie says this has been one of the community's most-requested features and now it's almost here.

So, excited about playing Destiny again?

I took about a few month break and it was refreshing when I started Destiny again. I mainly got excited about it again because of the upcoming dlc and expansions.

At times I get glimpses of why I was frustrated with it but overall my time away has let me get over some things and enjoy it for what it is. Its a solid game and the support is good.

I'm on Destiny pretty much daily. It's better now that Iron Banner has ended and I managed to snag the glove and boots! =)
