Big news for fighting fanatics.
Capcom has big plans for an online beta test for the upcoming Street Fighter V , as revealed at the publisher's blog .
There aren't too many concrete details just yet, but Capcom says it'll be the "largest and most ambitious online beta program in franchise history." The test will take place on PlayStation 4 and PC and as you might expect, the developers need your feedback "to ensure that Street Fighter V is the best iteration yet." North American gamers can land a spot in the beta simply by pre-ordering the game and we hope to have specific information soon.
Capcom also showed off a popular returning character: Nash. You can check him out in the gameplay video below; this dude is pretty slick!

Day one rental right here.
Lol day one shouldn't u wait for the ultimate supreme definitive addition haha
I suppose you're responding to me Sassy. Nah. fighting games are a living breathing thing. If you wait until the last iteration you'll be a scrub towards the end of the game's life cycle. It's best to start with the scrubs and grow with the rest of the community as time goes on. This way you can enjoy the finer details of the fight system as time goes on.

I agree with Temjin, while sometimes it stinks when they re-release a game a few times, its best to get in from the start so you can start learning the characters moves and nuances. That way when the re-releases come, or if they just do dlc, you already have the majority of the characters mastered, and can hold your own in an online fight.
Fighting game community doesn't work like that.
People will be too good by then . I like starting at the same level as everyone .
I actually agree with Sassy. The reason I am willing to wait is because the 'ULTRA' edition of Street Fighter IV will be available in a couple of months anyway… I'd rather have a complete version of the previous game for cheaper than the new one if it's going to be bare bones. Unless Street Fighter is as revolutionary as SF4 again I can't see myself picking it up for a long while. But I dont mind as I will have a perfect version of Street Fighter IV in ULTRA.
@Vivi_gamer,
Just so you know, you're using "IV" but you actually mean "V" to mean 5.
Because "IV" means 4 in Roman numerals.
I just love the part of the trailer where Ryu gets kicked into the subway train and he gets stuck in between two seats. Ultimate humiliation. Love it.

@big6 – No, I can assure you I certainly know my numerals and I have every intention of buying a complete version of Street Fighter IV over a bare bones version of Street Fighter V.
*edition
hes got pritty good and cool moves
happy gaming
Get pumped!!! Can't wait for this!!
Japanese voices make this game so much better
I'm happy that this time I will be part of the birth. Let's get hyped.
Is it me or does Nash seem to be fashioned after his Shadow version from the MvC series of games?
This is looking so brilliant. Everything from the visual style to the humorous stage interaction. I am also eager to see which characters make it into the roster.
Capcom are onto a winner here, looks rad!
