Pretty sure I've been yelling about this for some time now.
And at least we've got a patch to fix it: Patch #5 for Assassin's Creed Unity is now available and the biggest feature is that it removes the necessity of the Companion App and the need to climb the Uplay Initiate ladder to unlock chests.
Prior to this update, Green Nomad chests could only be unlocked if you played the Companion App, and Yellow Initiate chests could only be opened if you had a Uplay account that tracked your progress. I called major foul on both and it seems I wasn't the only one. Finally, players can get the gear and money out of those chests without being manipulated into "connecting" in other ways.
The patch will also further enhance the game's stability and fix a few lingering glitches (like unlocked equipment becoming "relocked".) You can check out the full list of repairs if you like, but I've seen all I need to see.
Wow, this game should be amazing by the time I get around to buying a PS4! 😀
Seriously?! That's great news! A day after I uninstalled the app no less. Hah!
I got the game last month. I knew the patches would come. Was waiting for the major issues to be fixed/patched before I start on it.
Awesome news!
We love that ubi is releasing the big fix guns for unity but please can somebody tell them to fix the constant screen tearing of The Crew on PS4? Please.. it's a great game
