Publisher Nordic Games confirmed to GameSpot that a Definitive Edition of Darksiders II is in the works for next-gen consoles.
Amazon listed a PlayStation 4 version of the game a little while ago (along with a reasonable price tag of $40), but that listing is gone now. However, a Nordic representative did confirm that such a project is in development. The game in question, which launched in August 2012 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC, received great reviews and did sell relatively well. It just didn't get the same numbers as a major franchise installment, like a new Assassin's Creed or Call of Duty .
I still say Darksiders II is one of the absolute FUNNEST (yes, I used that fake word) game of the previous generation. It's a fantastic action/RPG that everyone should at least try, I think. Now, how's about Darksiders III , Nordic…?

Another irrelevant ps4 Re-release. They don't even place the first game in the package. I'm sorry, I just don't see the point – Aren't gamers keep onto their PS3's? I certainly have and just feel that this onslaught of PS3 releases is becoming a joke. It was beneficial for PS2, as they were being brought up to HD, but the jump from PS3 to PS4 just isn't so essential.

I really enjoyed that game as well! However, the ending was so abrupt and unsatisfying. I remember telling my ex "I put all that time in for this?" I also remember having an issue with the weapon and armor upgrades, but I can't remember what exactly.
If I remember correctly, the weapons and armor that I fought and earned from boss fights were easily and continuously replaced with random mob loot. It just made obtaining weapons and armor less exciting. But I swear I did love this game lol.
If it were both games, I'd be on board but not for 2, since i've already bought it twice for PS3 and Wii U. Still, it is an amazing game and Michael Wincott's voice is magic.
Don't care. Especially since there's no original which I didn't quite finish.

I thought the original Darksiders was the better game but I still enjoyed the heck out of Darksiders 2.
My only real complaint about it was that it didn't push the story forward much, just gave us another perspective on things.
I want to see DS3 and have all the riders in that one!
That would be awesome, we shall see hopefully Nordic games can do it justice!
Wow, another HD remake cash grab. Sorry,but dead or alive last round is the last hd remake cash grab i fall for.
Uh…maybe people should realize that such things aren't made for those who already played the game, and those who missed out have a better opportunity now.
And a LOT of people ditched their PS3 when PS4 came out.

well thats a nice adition is nice but the only person or 2 i could think of alraedy have it but i'm sure someone will like it on the consoles

i know the series hasn't been the biggest seller out there, and there probably doing this to gauge interest in a sequel, but we all know how that goes.
no we won't be doing a darksiders III because II, especially the remake, just did not see the sales we expected.
you watch, thats exactly whats going to happen.
not to mention its getting a little old with all the remakes, i mean no one purchased next gen systems so they can play shinier versions of their last gen games!
