Ready At Dawn Won’t Clarify Any More “Clickbait” Rumors

Well, now you've done it: You've ticked off the developer.

Admittedly, The Order: 1886 studio Ready at Dawn has been forced to see a lot of garbage over the past year or so, so you can't really blame boss Andrea Pessino for his Twitter reaction .

Amid constant – and largely false – negative headlines pertaining to the game's length (one headline claimed it was only five hours), supposed graphical downgrading, and other accusations, Pessino has decided to stop responding to the stupidity.

The game hasn't enjoyed the greatest press run, although one could blame Ready at Dawn for producing some gameplay and various pieces of footage that didn't exactly wow the crowds. At the same time, gamers can be an extremely hateful and childish bunch, and I imagine these unfortunate traits are what finally pushed Pessino to write that message.

They were forced to show off gameplay and publicize the game far too early so that Sony could have a new exclusive ip to sell the ps4.

I have high hopes for the game and don't believe all the negative press but I definitely think this was the wrong marketing strategy.

It amazes me that this game has had such a bad run in the press. Usually we all attach great hopes to such projects. It could be something as simple as the color, foggy gray London is a hard sell I think. Personally I like such a setting, but I know people yearn for majestic colors over dead ones.

Yea I don't get it. Yes it looks like a third person shooter but most games releasing this year are third or first person shooters that revolve around blowing stuff up. At least this one takes an interesting era and mixes in a bit of the supernatural and science fiction.

It's weird right? That makes me dare to hope it shocks the world with 9s and 9.5s. Just to see the dummies eat their crow.

I have this game on preorder, it looks great, I'm unsure why such a backlash of this game, I like the background of the game done in an era that no game developer has done, the game kind of reminds me of a secret society type role if that makes sense. I can't wait to play it and i'll review it myself. I'm finding alot of reviews just say retarded stuff cause they don't want to see it succeed. I'm rooting for it 🙂

It's ridiculous and I'm in favor of developers defending their product(s). Especially when the emphasis is largely based on stupidity. If you're going to report, keep it factual, instead of stirring up blatantly false information. We know it's false due to the fact that NO ONE other than the developer knows the Length of the game.

The same crap that was pulled with UC4. "looks the same as UC3!" That's what we get for developers trying to show off a game's mechanics. Stupid horsemen running amok making false claims.

Humanity's evolution at its finest.

How do you direct reply to comments? Sorry for the noob question.

Anyways, Anyone can be defensive about their product, but unless you know for sure how something is going to be, just speculate and keep your opinions to yourself. You have no clue what something is going to be like before you try it, and to judge it before you have remotely an idea of how something is going to be, is rather childish, ignorant, and simply stupid, and makes yourself look the part.

The devs have the right to defend their product, because no one knows what their product is and are already judging it.

Again, kudos to them for standing up for themselves and defending themselves against a large group of immature people who are quick to judge and slow to appreciate ot ry…. also slow to thinking.

Agreed DemonNeno, humanity at it's "finest"

There is a "reply" button underneath everyone's name and directly to the right of their picture. If you are replying to a reply under an original comment, you simply hit reply in the original comment as there will not be a reply button to replies.

That's if you are viewing the "full site". If viewing Mobil I don't know.

It's the original post that you have the ability to hit "reply". For example, I'm replying to your post, so you can't click my post to respond. You'll have to click reply on your original post again and address it to me (as you already did).

Yeah, I'm viewing mobile, thats probably why I haven't seen a reply option.

Scratch that. I see the reply button, but not everyone has one. Most have a yellow caution triangle in place of where the reply button usually is.

Thats probably another reason why I haven''t seen one….

Thank you for the heads up in any case.

I don't blame him.The game will be good.I already seen the finished product.People bitch about ports, lack of games and rehashed sequels, but bash something new and truly next gen.You can keep playing that tired ass GTA,COD,AC and BF and I will be playing The Order, which actually brings a new experience to gaming.
