We could definitely use all the promising PlayStation 4 exclusives we can get.
Square Enix has just opened up a website teasing the announcement of a fresh PS4 exclusive, which will be revealed at the Tokaigi Japan Game Party 2015 on January 31.
The title we see is "Project CODE Z" but that doesn't mean much right now. This falls in line with the new game that, as previously revealed, was supposed to be shown off at 4:45 p.m. on Saturday. It was then known as the "M.S.S. Project," so if you've got any ideas based on these mystery code names, by all means, speak up. Based on the small batch of pictures seen at the teaser site, there's a chance this is a fantasy-based JRPG…no, not a true Final Fantasy VII remake.
What are people hoping for, I wonder?
Blah whos cares, this will come out in 2035, you know thats how SE does stuff. Tjey tease something then we dont hear about again till 8 years later lol crap company needs to shut down!
Yeah but maybe they are learning from their mistakes.
I can't get excited for this… just incase it looks like a mobile game… How sad is it that I can no longer get excited with mysterious titles due to the effect of the indie gaming market has had on the industry.
Sad story
It said it is a PS4 exclusive how can you possibly think it is going to be a mobile game -_-'
Trust me by the time this comes out it will no longer be exclusive!
Nah don't think so.
Cynicism is pretty heavy around here whenever S-E's name comes up. Giving it a little maybe won't hurt.
Now can Square Enix afford to release exclusive games nowadays?
I am so excited. You guys, this could be exactly what our hearts have yearned for all these years. Wooo counting down!
Oh ho~~~~
I suppose you never had your heart broken by SE?
Many times snake. But why not hope? There is nothing to lose, only something to gain.
I don't really have a lot of confidence in Square Enix these days where RPGs are concerned. They have ALOT to do before I could probably trust them again. Although, I do think it's hardly likely that I ever will. Their new direction for the company seems to be garnered towards more mass appeal. I don't think that JRPGs have ever had mass appeal. Seems like a conflict of interest there to me.
Ff7-9 all sold ridiculously well considering how popular games were at the time, which is to say that they weren't really mainstream yet.
I think they absolutely can sell, look how huge Pokemon is all over the world, and it hasn't changed its formula much over the past 2 decades.
I think they are trying things in a very Japanese way, not being racist, but they are unwavering in their business plan and stubborn because they really want to get that mass appeal that CoD got.
They would get better numbers if they just made quality JRPGs turn based or otherwise on a smaller budget.
This is why bravely default did so well, it sold amazing in the west and it was on the 3Ds so it had a low production cost.
That game has made them rethink their strategy so hopefully we get a good Turn Based RPG in the future sometime from them for the big consoles.
Some leaves. One of those M's will be Multiplayer. I'm not excited.
Am I suppose to be excited?
We're talking about a company that keeps on giving F-Us to it's fans.
dragon quest?
well it could be just about anything at this point and with only just a few days away i wonder what it could be we'll find out soon enough hope its awsome
happy gaming
