You've seen gold-plated video game systems before, and now ColorWare decided to offer a couple gold controllers for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
As spotted by Kotaku , these 24K gold controllers went for $300 apiece and because ColorWare only produced 25 of each, they're already sold out. There's no way of knowing if they'll make more but if they do, would you buy one? Here's a brief description:
"The extraordinary new controllers undergo a complex process to achieve a rich, glossy finish. These products look amazing and have outstanding ergonomics."
Sweet. Too bad I can't imagine a reason to own a gold controller.

There's lots of ways to get people to part with their money.
I made a website that's made me a couple hundred bucks… it's pathetic really.
Disclaimer: I've never smoked pot my whole life. Just thought, "Hey… I know some pot heads that would pony up some cash on something like this."
And what do ya know… I was right. Super hypocritical as a non-pot smoker, I know, but still hilarious (to me, anyways).

Personally, I'd consider buying one, if it's only $300.
Then I'd sell it on eBay for several thousand, and donate half of that to Sick Kids, and spend the rest to help fund my business…
And that, my friends; is how you justify an otherwise pointless purchase. 😀
i certainly didn't see this coming this soon but you would have thought some one would have wanted to do this at some stage and yeah i guess you'd get this for braggin rights
