It's always fun to check out any given source's Game of the Year Awards.
It's doubly fun when the source in question focuses on your favorite platform. And so, here are the PlayStation Blog GotY Awards , which were determined by fan votes. There's also an editor's choice section for each award.
For overall PS4 Game of the Year, Destiny just beat out Dragon Age: Inquisition for the top (Platinum) spot, while inFamous: Second Son and Far Cry 4 were third and fourth respectively. PS3 Game of the Year went to Dark Souls II (duh), Vita Game of the Year was Child of Light , inFamous: First Light was the year's Best Digital Release, and the Most Anticipated Game was Uncharted 4: A Thief's End .
Not entirely dissimilar lists from our end-of-year awards , which isn't too surprising. Not enough love for Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor , though.
Sony needed SOMEONE to give Destiny a GotY medal for that GotY edition PS4 Destiny bundle they already had planned. Since no one awarded it a goty, Sony had to take action!
=p

Ugh Second Son. I want Cole to return.
Too bad the Preorder Legacy of Cole missions confirmed his death.
Me too, I tried preaching through the whole Second Son hype that Delsin was a throwaway hero without a story and nobody wanted to hear it. But guess who is the face of inFamous? Cole McGrath.
Toss in inFamous 1 and you'll see a whole extra level of depth to the combat, the power earning, and the story than this latest "next-gen" iteration which seems tailored for 12 year olds.
Meh, 2014 wasn't an eventful year. My GotY was Lightning Returns, which was a 7/10 at best. But 2015 gosh… While I know The Phantom Pain will easily take GotY for me, there is just so much to offer, I reckon 2015 will beat 2013's amazing line up.
There are a few aspects of Lightning we will miss.

I agree Shadow of Mordor didn't get enough loving 🙁
I am enjoying Dragon Age an immense amount right now, but I still think that gameplay wise Mordor is just more enjoyable to play and suits my twitchy needs.
Dragon Age is a close second for me, while I liked Destiny for about 3 weeks I was more disappointed with it than any game recently. It was great gameplay wise but there just wasn't enough to do in the game, it needed stealth, puzzles, a good story etc.
yeah i'd say for the most part i agree and also shadow of modor didn't get enough love cos i was a really good game but other than that i didn't really have any problems with any of it
happy gaming
