Over the Christmas holiday, the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live networks suffered outages due to DDoS attacks. Currently, the FBI is investigating hacker group Lizard Squad.
Gamers were none too happy but it's unlikely that any would deem the situation an "emergency." One kid did, though: According to a WPTV report , a teenager in Palm Beach County called 911 about the incident and asked, "I was wondering, do you guys know anything about that?"
The dispatcher told the caller to check with Sony and Microsoft and authorities simply replied:
"Last time I checked, that wasn't an emergency. Try going outside or read a book."
Two things kids don't really do anymore, and two of the biggest reasons why we're going down the tubes.
this ranks up there with the person who called 911 from the drive thru of McDonald's because they were out of like Chicken Nuggets or something.

I'm glad my daughter doesn't care for playing online. She's not an idiot and would never make such a call, but she could be exposed to these people who have a warped sense of thinking.

yup these kiddies aren't from the 90's or even early 00's they are late 00's and ealir 10's so they have no idea what going outside and play soccer or tag or ball tag or bull rush is like or what a good book is like i guess i'm still a bit old school cos thats what it was like for growing up and now a young adult i can appriciate the era in which i grew up in was a really good one we got the best of everything and as well as 80's kids and the kids growing up these days don't have that and for them i feel sorry,oh and since when is a network going out a police problem anyway like she said the kids should learn to do some else i have and still do there are offline single player games as well you know but watever some one has got to teach some of these kids which way is up a bit bettter
