An Oft-Missed Feature On The PS4: PlayStation Docs

Here's a sweet PlayStation 4 feature you might not even know about.

It's called Docs for PlayStation and although it launched last November, it hasn't gotten much attention. Now, though, it has been highlighted and detailed at the PlayStation Blog .

Dubbed a "one-stop destination where you can access what you need right from your console, smartphone, tablet, or PC," Docs has replaced printed manuals for first-party PlayStation titles, along with select third-party games. You can find these digital manuals on PS4 in a game's Live Tile, and they include tutorials, maps, and the latest info on DLC. If you're in the middle of a game and you don't want to stop, just visit Docs on your connected device and check 'em out with the browser.

Furthermore, Sony plans to deliver premium content like strategy guides, art books, magazines, and trophy hunter guides to Docs in 2015. Cool stuff but me, I'll take my paper manuals, thanks. They'll always be faster.

I feel like good action games anymore don't need manuals.
It seems tutorials of how to play a game are built right into the opening levels of most games.

EDIT: but I do remember the old days when I would take my game manuals with me to school and read them and stare at the cool art.

What we really need is the share function to let you post videos to your PS4 profile. I don't want to send it to an outsourced site. I want my friends to be able to see my videos on the console, due to this I never bother with it.

I completely agree.

Single biggest missing feature is the ability to suspend your game in rest most then start it again where you left off when you wake your PS4 up. This was a much touted feature at e3. Still hasn't been added yet.
