Ben-DutkaEarlier this year, The Last Of Us creative director Neil Druckmann said there was a "50/50" chance of a sequel.
Now, it seems TLoU2 might be in the works. According to the LinkedIn profile of former lead character artist Michael Knowland, the studio worked on prototype designs for use in a follow-up effort.
Knowland joined Naughty Dog in October 2011 and worked on the original title in question, and he also worked on the upcoming Uncharted 4: A Thief's End . He's currently a senior character artist at Avalanche Studios and is working on their hot new project, Just Cause 3 . Knowland's departure from Naughty Dog was part of a mini-exodus, during which the studio lost director Justin Richmond, writer Amy Hennig, lead artist Nate Wells, and actor Todd Stashwick.
As for a sequel to The Last Of Us , we're all for it. But should it be a prequel…? And who should be the main character?

I wouldn't mind seeing more from the same story line and same characters. I also wouldn't mind new story line, new characters.

rubbish 50/50 chance, as cliffy b said when you have a franchise selling as well as this, and half as popular as this, you don't go cut its head off!
of course there will be another, however we probably won't see it for at least another 2 years.
id love to see it as a prequel though, show us how the virus originated and how the government reacted and how it escalated to the events of the original.
not to mention seeing the origins of joel, tess and bill would be nice.

TLOU was a dream of a game. Absolutely stellar.
But I think I'd have been ok with just having the one TLOU and keep it in the trophy case as a masterpiece, standalone game while moving onto a new IP.
Yeah I would be fine with that as well.
If there is or are going to be more games I would prefer something on the lines of tracing the origins of the out break and maybe find a cure. IF not a cure a vaccine or something that potentially fights against possible infection. Not everyone would get access to it but that could lead to other games I suppose.
We do not know how widespread the infection is either. Is it only State side and the whole country has been quarantined by the world or can or do we get to travel across the ocean(s) to find a cure or vaccine.
I don't want a carbon copy of the TLoU. Or their focus to drift to multiplayer too much.

The Last of Us was a great game but honestly speaking I was speaking more. I guess the hype train kind of made me want more… I don't know.
To each their own but in my book the game is not a 10/10. It's more of a 8.7 or at most a 9.
prequal or sequal either would be fine although i think the sequal would be more popular decision
