“Patch 4” For Assassin’s Creed Unity Will Be Ready On Monday

It's the patch that could end up making all the difference.

Ubisoft has announced that "Patch 4" for Assassin's Creed Unity will release next week across all platforms.

It'll be ready to go on Monday, December 15 and this update will address a laundry list of lingering issues, and will enhance performance, stability, online matchmaking, and general connectivity. The previous patches also worked to handle stability and performance problems, so by the time the fourth patch is installed, Unity should be a much smoother and less frustrating experience.

Personally, I've only run into a very small percentage of the problems I've seen reported but I imagine it varies greatly from person to person. Me, I'm too interested in upping my character and enjoying Paris.

I've been playing it and it's not all that bad really, bad relative to an AC game anyway. Sure there's weird little things that happen but it's not a big deal. The performance can get just a bit choppy at times but a small boost would fix it just fine.

Th framerate is bad. Hovers in the low 20s in open areas. Ps4 is a joke, xbox one runs at a better framerate.

it's as bad as you let it to be sawao. Could it be better? Sure. Could it be worse? Yes. Is it playable and the best example of what the next-gen is capable of? I think so.

I've got my copy of Unity at home. Just waiting for the patch, before I start! =)

Shame this wasn't fixed before they threw it out the door. Hope everyone gets to enjoy the game the way it was meant to be played.

hate to say but I wonder if a part of it had something to do with their bundle deal with MS.

It seems strange that Ubisoft had no problem missing that critical launch window for Watch Dogs but then ignore that standard for quality with AC Unity. Perhaps contractual reasons with MS meant Ubisoft had to have the product ready to go to meet a firm deadline. Ready just in time to be inserted with MS's carefully made XO packages for AC exclusively.

It's pure speculation but you have to wonder.

Being one who is well versed in Microsoft stripping the world of numerous talents, I'd be hard pressed not to consider such circumstances. I'll leave it at that.

It's under the tree for me. The more patches prior to slipping into my console the better!

one thing i both hate and love about the AC team, there VERY good at introducing new things replacing old things and twisting you up on whether there a good thing or not.
AC3 added in the naval combat, and unity has brought in a far more complex demanding much slower paced combat system and I'm really not sure how i feel about that.
on one hand it takes you back to the original AC and makes the combat oh so much more satisfying, but on the other hand after having such a fast paced overpowered assassin for so many games now you can't help but kinda miss that.
they love leaving you in denial these guys, on one hand you curse them because they removed something you love, but you curse them even more because you actually kinda like what they replaced it with and really don't want to admit that.
bastards!
