Alien: Isolation Devs Have “Daily Talks” About A Sequel

If you want a follow-up effort to Alien: Isolation , you'll be interested in this news.

It seems The Creative Assembly has frequently discussed how they'd approach a sequel, which sort of implies that the developer has future plans.

During an AVPGalaxy interview with Gary Napper, one of the lead developers on Isolation , we learn that a sequel is often discussed "daily."

"The plot for a sequel is a daily topic in the studio sometimes. People have their own ideas for where it should go, our writers have some solid concepts and yes, we do have a great opportunity to continue her story.

I personally think that Amanda did not get infected in the hive, as when she wakes, the closest egg remains closed."

Napper was asked if the follow-up game would be more action-oriented like other Alien video games. But Napper says the team will stick with the style they created with Isolation , which is more atmospheric and cerebral:

"I think the action-oriented Aliens style game is very different from what Isolation is. If we made a sequel I would like to stick to the same terrifying single Alien approach but do more with the environment and interactivity within it."

Good to know. Alien: Isolation wasn't a bad game and it offered plenty of excellent concepts. There were lots of thrills and chills, too; it just needed another level of polish, and some more fleshing out of the campaign.

These guys should do a Predator game instead. Seeing how Alien Isolation was pretty much a stealth game, I imagine a Predator game done by them could be quite awesome. Just don't spam me with androids.
