For a brief moment there, I thought Square Enix had finally done something right.
Silly me.
I keep forgetting that these days, that company is like the slow learner in class who needs to have everything repeated, and who needs tutors and special assistance. And just when you think he's making progress, the poor kid fumbles it again.
I mean, this is just painful. The worst part is that Square Enix didn't intend for this announcement to be cruel; they actually thought people would respond well to this news. Final Fantasy VII for the PlayStation 4! Yes! The legendary role-playing game remade in brilliant 1080p HD for…no, wait. Just a port of the PC version. That's it. Basically, the same damn game we can get on the PlayStation Network right now. And after years and years of begging from the fans, this is what Square Enix comes up with.
It's like they listened but you know, not really. It's like they heard whispers of something related to FFVII but they didn't quite hear them. The Twitter reaction (and the audience's reaction at the event) pretty much sums it up: You bungled another one, Square Enix. We honestly have no idea how you can continue to be this out of touch but we've reached a point where we don't care .
The train wreck has to end someday. Maybe we just have to wait it out.

This can't be right ( ._.)
No surprise here. Thanks for wasting our time (& for the heads up so we don't waste our $$$).
