Okay, so you've probably heard that Bungie plans to make a second Destiny .
But you're saying to yourself: "Wait, this is kinda like an MMO…and if they release a second whole game, do I have to start over?"
The answer to that is "no." According to what Bungie community manager David "DeeJ" Dague told IGN , your current character progress will indeed carry over to the sequel:
"The idea is that the Guardian you have created is something you can bring along with you on that adventure. If you take a look at the way people have played other games for a long period of time, they've had a relationship with the same character for a very long time."
He didn't say much else about the impending project but that's okay. It's a relief for avid Destiny players to know that all their hard work won't be shelved if they want to play the sequel. As far as I'm concerned, I get the feeling the "sequel" will basically be a big expansion that the publisher can package up and sell for another $60. Tell me I'm wrong, Activision.
