The group Tweeted "PSN Login #offline #LizardSquad" and this was followed by PlayStation's acknowledgement of the problem :
If you're still experiencing issues, here's hoping Sony gets things sorted out before long. One still has to wonder what drives people to do these things; i.e., if they're trying to make some point…or, if they have no lives and no esteem and they desperately try to prove their superiority in a virtual world because they don't have what it takes to succeed in reality.
I know which one I'm picking.
They should state their reasons at least, that's what good terrorists do.

What is the point? Seriously? Sony is under a lot of hack lately… More so than any other company.
As far as I understand this is just one of many attacks on Sony lately, and supposedly the trails leads back to North Korea, as a reaction to an upcoming movie about their leader.
All major scale hacks are not done by geeks with too much time at their hands, folks. In fact, it's less and less so.
By far the biggest challenges for cyber security personell today comes from professional organisations, either directly run by or sponsored by nations.

It's Microsoft, bringing down their own network was just a false flag attack so nobody would lead it back to them when they brought down Sony for selling more consoles 🙂

Ah sorry, I was mistaken. These hackers are Russian and supposedly is a different attack than the ones attacking the movie branch of Sony.
It's quite the chaos in the virtual space these days.
But my point remains, the "cyberwar" today has really become big business and big politics, and are more and more often orchestrated by nations and large organizations rather than smaller independent groups.
These ppl really need to get a life… I hope they enjoy their buttrape when they get locked up for this

Yea, I won't escort to profanity, but I am getting tired of hearing about this,Minot just through Playstation, but in general. If these systems can be hacked so easily then our society shouldn't depend on such technology. I've been saying that for years and I stand by it still.
I think it only happens because certain officials want you to cry for their oversight. Cause a problem and offer a solution. It's good business for the wicked.

I didn't even know there was an outage at all yesterday. I played BF4 with my friends all the same, without a single hiccup.
