Metal Gear Online will make its triumphant return when Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain finally drops.
Hideo Kojima and Co. have been working hard to bring you a true next-gen MGS multiplayer experience and for an early peek, check this out.
A new trailer for the revamped and updated MGO debuted at this weekend's PlayStation Experience event, and people are already talking about it. That's probably because it's wicked promising and proves that in fact, a military multiplayer game doesn't have to be entirely about guns. We can't wait to learn more about it; there's obviously going to be some much-appreciated complexity!

My question is are those all real people fighting with and against snake?
Is it like the old MGO only with an added twist of having a base?
I hope it is all these things, because when I first heard of the multiplayer I heard it was just a tower defense type thing, where one player as snake tried to attack another players base solo.
Anyway I suppose we will learn more later.
In MGS4's MGO, you had special characters participating on the teams – 1 per team and when the special character dies another player takes their place.
Also just to clarify, This Metal Gear Online is separate to the base invasions. The base invasions will happen in the story mode of The Phantom Pain, while this what just shown (Metal Gear Online 3) is a separate game mode with more competitive type matches.
I realize its just a demo of the gameplay, but the whole thing just looked orchestrated with the enemy not really doing much in the way of tactical. They must of know the one side was coming right?
Was it multiplayer we watched or co-op?
Keep playing!

Multiplayer or co op is my question too. I dont think it's actual m, but our does show us the options.
Well of course ti was orchestrated, but it was all running within the games engine. It's not uncommon for game trailers to do this. Still it was a clear trailer which demonstrated what the game will look like, just integrating some cutscene elements into the battle for the presentation value. The match was an 8 v 8 team battle mode.
But this trailer was such a relief, it just shows that MGO3 is going to be just as fune as MGO2 with MGS4. Puppy traps, cardboard boxes vehicles and walking tanks. It's going to be epic. Also I hope the notion of using your binoculars to tag enemies plays a huge role in the game, it could make the gameplay far more tactical rather than just an all out brawl. Really eager for this this now and I reckon this will be the reason I have to give into PS+ on PS4
