Activision and Bungie have released an extended, behind-the-scenes trailer for The Dark Below, the expansion content set to launch on December 9.
They show off all the new content you can expect, including new weapons, armor and other equipment. Destiny fans will also enjoy new quests and missions, as well as three new competitive multiplayer maps and a fresh six-player raid. Oh, and the soft level cap will be raised to 32 so you can keep powering up! The Dark Below DLC retails for $19.99 but if you picked up the $35 Season Pass, you'll get it for no extra cost.

Not to be chinsy but both of these expansions should have been free add ons.
No matter how much fun people have had with Destiny, the 70$ retail disc had very little content. If you bought the DLC right away that means this game would be going for 105$ plus tax.
No offense to bungie but Warframe is completely free to play and offers all of the stuff that Destiny does, minus the "open world map"
Everytime I play destiny I think that I'm playing a 20 dollar PSN game albeit one with extremely high production values.
I have to say though I'm very pleased to see the sword make a comeback in this expansion. It was a real bust only having it used in one mission in the story.
My hope for the sequel is that they will add more gameplay mechanics to the story missions, stealth, platforming, puzzles etc.
I'll maybe get the expansions down the road if they are severely discounted and I still own this game.
I kind of disagree. If you were to compare the game to others around, it has much more content.
But I do see two problems with the content, one is that Destiny was pitched to a community which consumes content at an extremely fast pace, within 2 weeks people had already reached the level cap. I don't think Bungie were truly prepared for that.
Then there is the grinding aspect of the games design. This is a game where grinding is built into every part of it, there should be enough content to make grinding not feel too laborious. I think that is where Destiny failed, the grinding design and the amount of content don't match up.
If you play through the game for the first time, before you start grinding, there is definitely enough content to justify the purchase. But the longevity of the game is hampered by its miss-match of content vs grinding.
By the time you finish the game and all its activities, you are either hooked and will keep going, or you will drop it for something else. I feel myself being less and less invested in most activites as time goes on and I get better gear. Now that I am level 30 I don't need to do Nightfalls or Strikes, or even Bounties most of the time. My game time is 90% Raiding now.
I disagree that the DLC's should be free. Perhaps they should be cheaper, but the people working on them do deserve to be paid for the work they do, just because the community is disappointed by the amount of content is not their fault, but at the same time I think Bungie should be offering free updates to everybody, not just those who have DLC. new weapons, armor, strikes, maps etc.
