Earlier this month, skateboarding legend Tony Hawk said a new entry in the iconic skating franchise was in the works.
Now, thanks to TMZ Sports , we've got an outright announcement and a few more details. Said Hawk:
"I'm working on a video game. We're gonna have a new console game for the new consoles next year. A new Tony Hawk Pro Skater, yeah."
The skater recently got a lot of attention by trying out a real-world hoverboard and when asked if something like that would be in the game, Hawk replied: "Why not?" Lastly, he confirmed that the new entry would release "late next year," which presumably means it's being prepped for a holiday 2015 launch. It'll be interesting to see how this title progresses next year; there are still lots of die-hard Tony Hawk fans out there, just waiting for the series to reclaim its former glory.
Think it will?
Please be a full retail release with a good story.
A good story? Are you frikn kidding me? In a skateboarding game?

Eeeh i want a new Skate title instead
Drop EA a note.
Give me a THPS2-like game and I'm happy.
I've spent dozens of hours on that one looking for every secret with my cousin.
Good times….
Split screen better be in there…
I just wonder what music they will put with the game. Loved some of the older tunes in previous entries. Makes skating that bit more fun!
