Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare Sets New Twitch Record

Like you didn't see this coming.

We don't have the official sales numbers for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare just yet, but we know it has broken streaming records.

Activision and Twitch have announced that the recently released CoD effort is the most streamed console game of 2014 during its launch week. Last week alone, over 75,000 unique Twitch users shared Advanced Warfare gameplay footage, and streams were viewed over 26 million times. Overall, Twitchers have spent over 327 million minutes watching CoD streams during the week in question. Said Sledgehammer co-founder Glen Schofield:

"The team at the studio is thrilled to see players think the game we've poured our heart and soul into making these last three years is not only fun to play, but very exciting to watch."

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare was a definite achievement, and many believe it breathed new life into an ailing franchise. Well, it looks great and plays great and we say the developers did a damn good job. Have you played it yet? Stream anything?

Too bad League of Legends is going to forever rule Twitch at this point in time.

On another note, I didn't even realize this game was out.
