If you're a Sackboy aficionado and you've got quite the LBP library, you'll be overjoyed to hear this.
As revealed over at the PlayStation Blog , the upcoming LittleBigPlanet 3 will be "fully backwards compatible."
What this means is that any content you've earned in the first two games will carry forward to the new entry. You can bring over all your costumes, level packs, outfits, etc. to the fresh experience, and this includes just about every piece, item, or object you've collected over the years. On top of which, if you've published any self-made levels in the first two games, you'll be able to find them on your LittleBigPlanet Earth within LBP3. In other words, the Sackboy experience continues full-steam ahead, and leaves nothing behind!
This is really one of the best features of modern gaming. It means you never really lose anything, you know?

As a fan that purchased a crap load of dlc for the first two games this is awesome. I'm not getting this day 1 but I'm definitely going to buy it later on down the road.
Want to see sackboy evolve to 3d adventure as Mario did with Mario 64. I can just imagine it. That's really what it'll take for me to rejuvenate my interest in lbp after owning n playing the first two.
