With such budgets, you have to assume you'll see some seriously slick promotion.
For example, Activision has released a live-action trailer for the upcoming Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare and the production values are absolutely nuts .
It boasts a mix of live-action footage and CGI and it's set to "Salute Your Solution" by The Raconteurs. We get an eyeful of futuristic combat, along with a variety of weapons, gadgets and vehicles. Also starring in the short film are Taylor Kitsch ("John Carter") and Emily Ratajkowski ("Gone Girl"); it was directed by Peter Berg ("Long Survivor"), so yeah, there's some Hollywood influence here.
Again, though, what did you expect?

1. Sex sells that's why the girl was in the video.
2. A portion of grown men and little kids will think "Wow, this is so cool. I cannot wait to try this next month"
3. Bobby will buy it because Johnny is buying it too
4. They need some of these stars to pull some sales in.
While millions are playing this, I'll be exploring the lands of Kyrat in Far Cry 4 all by myself and having as much if not more fun.
Well to each his own but I'm sure more ppl would pick up farcry4 if it was a ps3 ps4 cross buy like advanced warfare
Stars to save the sinking ship.
That commercial showed 0% in-game footage.
The goat was awesome.
much better than the scary goat the the 2010 MOH reboot – that thing was freaky.
In fact I'd buy a lot more games if it gave me a ps3 and the ps4 version for one price it hard to choose one then have ppl asking to play n then u gotta tell em I got it for the other system
True, but not very profitable for the developers/distributors. lol
However, I did buy the PS3 versions of BF4 and Ghosts and got one of them upgraded to the PS4 version for free, and the other for $10. That's a decent price, I think.
Cool trailer for sure, not sure how it will help the bottom line on this COD.
