Dying Light Now Only Coming To Next-Gen Consoles And PC

Well, if it doesn't work on older hardware, that's that. We understand.

Developer Techland has announced that their upcoming open-world zombie adventure Dying Light will only be released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Prior to this news, it was also coming to PS3 and Xbox 360.

But in a new post on the game's Facebook page , the Dead Island designers say the latter versions were canceled due to the "technological side of Dying Light ." After some testing, they concluded that they had "no choice but to leave past-gen systems behind." The game will utilize some advanced lighting tech along with "natural movement" that simply requires more oomph.

The game is still on track to launch in January for PS4, Xbox One and PC.

This is good news. Next gen games to me are made specifically for next gen consoles, when i see PS4 or Xbox One games that are also available on PS3 or 360 it almost immediately loses it's appeal imo because it's still a port. Getting sick of potentially amazing games being held back by old tech. Time to move on & upgrade.

Dying Light for me just became Reviving Light…….
