It's one of the hottest topics of 2014: High-definition resolution in video games.
Some say it's critical; others say it's borderline meaningless. Far Cry 4 creative director Alex Hutchinson falls into the latter category, it seems.
During a recent Total Xbox interview , Hutchinson said the resolution just isn't "something I care about in a game." He added:
"It feels weird to me that people are cool about playing a sort of retro pixel game, and yet the resolution somehow matters. It's like: is it fun, is it interesting, is it new, is it fresh, are there interesting questions?"
He also said some people might not be able to tell the difference between 1080p and 900p, depending on the situation. He followed this up by saying he'd "play a SNES game if it's cool." Well, of course, who wouldn't? This is an interactive entertainment medium, is it not? Hutchinson is more interested in creating fresh gameplay experiences, as opposed to the same ol' same ol' with a glossier coat of paint.
For the record, the upcoming Far Cry 4 is supposed to hit 1080p on both PS4 and Xbox One, although there might be very minor differences.

Why not both? Beautiful and fun. It's starting to sound like excuses. If you can't hit 1080p 60fps then so be it, but don't say it like resolution isn't important at all.
My thoughts exactly!
What is not important to you, may be important to someone else.
yeah i get the point but and i agree with the fresh and fun thing i mean the last couple of games i was playing was GoW 1 and rachet 1 so how about old school but they were enjoy able abmittedly some times anoiying but thats the challenge bit yeah i think the res and fps thing is more of a edge in the mind for some people they want to be getting the best possible res and stuff for their console cos thats where w're at atm
care to at ur thoughts any one
happy gaming
My friend there are dots, comas, small, big letters that exist in the dictionary. Can't understand sh*t what you just wrote.

I know comments are informal for the most part, but I think it's best not to write the same way that you speak. Don't feel embarassed in any way. Learning is a beautiful thing. Please read this article when you have the opportunity.
