Bloodborne’s “Off The Charts” Visuals Have A Certain “Wetness”

Well, as a dedicated PlayStation 4 exclusive, it should look great.

Many hardcore gamers are anxiously anticipating the arrival of From Software's Bloodborne and now, to ramp up the hype even further, PlayStation boss Scott Rohde offered his observations on the title.

Speaking during a recent PlayStation Blogcast , the software product development head for Sony Worldwide Studios Manager said the visuals in Bloodborne are pretty darn special.

"The way it looks; just off the charts to me. It has, I've said this before … there's a certain, like, wetness to that game. I don't know what other word to use. It just feels like everything is dripping and oozing with whatever it is–it's water, it's blood, it's whatever it is; and it just looks gorgeous."

"Wet," huh? Well, that sounds simultaneously amazing and disgusting. The game in question is targeting 1080p, so whatever we get should appear extremely sharp and refined. As for the gameplay, we've heard to expect a brutal challenge…you up for it?

The atmosphere in this game just looks intense. From the moist foggy air to the random sounds in every direction.

The Souls games are more than just about how difficult they are. They are more about the environments and what those environments mean to the story and to the player and the civilizations that lived there and are now hungry monstrosities.

If only more people had a deeper level of thought and philosophy. People would see beyond the dying part and appreciate the artistic value of the Souls series.

The wetness? If he means the wet textures, it's nothing new, we have seen it in many games. But what I'm more excited about are enemies/bosses – how extremly detailed they are judging from few trailers. There is so much darkness in them…
If I won't be buse with anything else at that time, I realy might grab this game.

Whenever I think of wetness:

Unreal Engine
Gears of War
All of those types of games

Yes haha I was actually going to jokingly emphasize on the use of Unreal by re-listing "Unreal Engine" again after Gears 🙂

Sorry it came out like I had no idea.

-Yawns- who really cares about the graphics. All i see is another over hyped game that when it released will only pull down 8.5s – 7.0s. This will be another next gen fail like watch_dogs, desnity and driveclub. Hyped to the max but fail come release.
