Speaking to GameCrate in a recent interview, Uncharted 4: A Thief's End co-director Bruce Straley teased some "really, really cool ideas" for the upcoming PlayStation 4 exclusive.
Interestingly, he also added that this team is "still trying to figure it out." Well, it's quite the undertaking but of course, Straley trusts his team implicitly:
"We're still trying to figure it out and yet I have faith in the team, I have faith in where we're going with it. I can say we have some really, really, cool ideas that I'm really excited to… sometime show you. That's all I can say but it's going to be awesome. I'm excited so you should be excited. Naughty Dog has a track record and just trust us, it's going to be cool."
Straley didn't offer any specifics but here's hoping they'll reveal more Uncharted 4 soon. Perhaps we'll see a new unveiling during the PlayStation Experience event set for December, when we may also learn about two new PS4 exclusives . December oughta be interesting!
Aside from Borderlands (which I have now) only other game I'm truly excited about! I want it now!

I hope uncharted 4 will have open ended gameplay, I bored with linear generic action shooter…
No it will be as generic as the last 3 you watch. You know i see alot of comments on here bashing generic games but never say anything about how uncharted is as generic as a game can get really!

Open world Uncharted is ridiculous.
I'm surprised that anyone would even call a game with so many awards and so much recognition and accomplishments generic. It's far from generic in every sense. But hey I'm no expert. Just a huge fan of the series.

Still trying to figure it out? Haven't they been working on it for 3 years? I was thinking this might be out next year. Not so sure now. I can wait as long as they don't screw up that track record.

Naughty Dog will never release something just to comply with a date, so I'm ok with that.
This is the one game that might get me to buy a PS4 at some point… but will it even come out in 2015? Prolly not considering they haven't showed more than that tiny teaser so far & going by these comments it sounds like there's a lot left to do…
Oh and generic is just about the opposite of what Uncharted is. Few games have as much personality & character as all three Uncharteds, and well there are a few GOTY awards out there to back that up.
I think that they will keep it closer to them that they did with TLoU. They didn't reveal a whole lot about Uncharted 2 and I think if they were smart they would go that route again. Uncharted 2 came out of know here and surprised everyone. They want that excitement for Uncharted 4 again.
I miss Nathan Drake. Bring on the gameplay Chaps!
Hell I'll settle for a CGI trailer. I need some Uncharted goodness in my life!
The thing about Uncharted is that it has loads of personality and style (the exact opposite of being "generic"). I play it for the characters, storyline, and exotic locales. It also has some of the best, most thrilling scripted sequences of any game I can think of (remember the E3 demo for Uncharted 2 that drew cheers from the audience).
Just the story alone is better than the most recent Indiana Jones movie.
