Another week, another delay.
Developer Slightly Mad Studios confirmed to GameSpot that their new racer, Project Cars , won't hit its original November release date.
Instead, the game will now launch on March 20, 2015 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Publisher Bandai Namco said moving the game out of the competitive holiday scene is probably beneficial, as their new IP would've had to battle "household names." From a development standpoint, Slightly Mad boss Ian Bell said:
"Our goal has always been to deliver a landmark title that encompasses the wishes and desires of racing fans from all around the world; something with features and content powered by the community that provide a truly unforgettable and pioneering experience.
Whilst a tough decision to make, the change in release date allows the game the greatest chance of success and visibility, and the opportunity to polish the game even further to the high standards that both ourselves and our community demand and expect. We're eager for you all to see what we've been working on in just a few months."
Maybe they didn't want to compete with Ubisoft's The Crew , which is set to release in November as well. That's a new IP as well, though. Then again, there's the rest of the November lineup, which includes Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare , Dragon Age: Inquisition , Far Cry 4 , and two Assassin's Creed installments.

Not surprised…
In my book, SMS has a ton of convincing to do with me personally. Shift 2 was cool to look at and listen to, but once the actually gameplay took over, it was a horrible game to me. I got rid of it about a week later.
No offense to the to PC players out there who keep saying good things, but I am going to have to play a demo of this on my PS4 before I spend money on it.
Returned S2 the same day…lost $30 in the process, but happy to get rid of it. I think8nk I told you that
with all the bad stuff ppl are saying about the crew I doubt project cars should be worried about that.
Im anticipating another6/10 review average from that game…. especially when the games we thought would get higher reviews got lower so imagine what the ones we already think/know will get lower reviews will get?
So true.
"Lower than expected reviews for you, you and especially you…poor reviews for all"
yeah i think both the cars and the crew will be great for different reasons for track racing and open world racing and adventure
happy gaming
why the down vote explain urself

why do i get the feeling that this was only delayed to increase visibility rather than to actually spend time improving the game?
and why do publishers always give this bullsh*t excuse, when march is one of the busiest months of the year!
well im glad to see there will be atleast one racing game before GT7 that is good and doesn't anoiy me even if it is F2P which is anoiying but its still a racing game so i'm down we need a few more of those atm
happy gaming
