Previously, we'd heard that Sony will announce a couple heavy-hitting PlayStation 4 exclusives in December. We just don't know what they are.
However, it seems a few people might know: According to Gamepur citing a couple editors from Gamelog France, at least one of these exclusive announcements "will engulf the Internet."
One admitted that he knows exactly what the exclusive title is, and that it will make "a lot of noise and RAGE." It almost sounds like a known IP that was previously multiplatform but will now be exclusive to PS4, which would indeed incite plenty of "rage." However, this hasn't happened that often as of late; Microsoft is the one that buys exclusives, while Sony typically relies on their superior first-party studios.
Any ideas? What could be so huge as to make the Internet explode?
The only thing I can think of that can possibly ignite *rage* would be a multiplat going exclusive. Maybe they have bought another studio?
I'm going to predict a Streets of Rage remake for the PS4. I believe there were rumors of a remake a couple years back. Maybe, Sony bought the rights to produce a full retail game. That would be sick!
There was gameplay released for it (streets of rage) as well. It would be awesome if they pulled that off. although, i'd be happier if they stuck it to microsoft and bought one of their first party exclusives. or watch as CoD or something was bought out aha that would insight rage amongst the 12 year olds
Sony buys exclusive = good. Microsoft buys exclusive = bad.
Owning the rights to an IP is different then paying to keep a third party IP from others. No one seems to have a problem with Microsoft buying the rights from Epic for the Gears of War franchise.
People just have to take off the fanboy goggles to see the difference.

That's what happens when one side begins to do something the other side has been doing for years.
If your fighting someone, and one person starts kicking, everyone will say "Your a dirty fighter!", if the other person then starts kicking as well everyone will say "Yeah that's right! Beat him at his own game!"
It's just the way we are. But then there will always be the people like you that will see Sony as being even worse than Microsoft for doing it.
The difference here is that micro&soft will milk that bought IP for all it's worth, turn the franchise to total garbage (Halo 4 anyone?) then take it from the company that came up w/ the idea originally when that company wants to go in another direction just to milk it some more. Oh, or they'll just kill the IP all together…
While Sony gives their first/second party companies more or less free reign over their games…

At first "some kind of forced online pay deal came to mind" But then again they wouldn't do that. No one would nuke themselves like that, all things considered.

Well, a previously exclusive IP going multi-platform could also incite RAGE.
With that, I'm thinking an official announcement of 'Titanfall' going to PS4.
Pure and manic rage would be if 'Gears of War' is announced to be on PS4. haha

You make an excellent point. If they fleshed out the content to a Borderlands level then ran it at full capacity on on the id tech 5 engine we would have a something amazing.

Yeah, I didn't expect anything from RAGE, but it turned out to be a pretty good game!
I think Rage were a solid game, especially from a technical perspective. Solid handling, impressive visuals, physics, etc.
It just wasn't *fun*. It lacked the vibe that Borderlands creates so perfectly.
It was boring and the pop-in was so bad it killed the game. If the pace was better and it were more alive it coulda been cool cuz it had a unique feel to it (something rare in an FPS). Some story woulda been cool too.
Rage had plenty going for it. Unfortunately, it started out so great and then petered out.

Fighting that monstrosity in the dead city was so much fun, and I really enjoyed the atmosphere and crafting. It felt like an FPS-dominant and FPS-speed version of Fallout 3 and NV. I liked so many of the different maps and the enemies. Driving was fun and easy. The shooter elements were top-notch for a narrative game.
The pop-in did tend to ruin a lot of my ability to get immersed. Every time I turned, the screen would have to reload. Thankfully that didn't affect the gameplay (it didn't stop me from hitting targets), only the realism of the environment. And, of course, the story was kind of mediocre. That ending was trash, too! So much buildup for almost no resolution.
TLG as a PS4 only title would piss off some PS3 owners that are holding out(yours truly)but it would probably make us jump ship faster.

Still sucks Team Soho went away while really rough I quite enjoyed the Getaway series. Getaway 3 looked REALLY impressive from the very small glimpses we saw of it before the studio shutdown and merged with SCE London. SCE London gave a very Last Guardian Esque response to it shortly after the merger but we haven't seen anything of the game since and for a small series that didn't do very well I doubt we will ever see #3.

Or else Insomniac are coming home again. Personally I would have no problem with that. They make great games.
I'm just wondering why every time there's a news story on this site, Microsoft's name comes up in some capacity? I'm sure whatever Sony comes out with in December will be exciting but why take a jab at MS?

Microsoft always tries to squeeze its competition out of the picture. Their parity crap, demands from decelopers, and recent scoops are proof in the pudding.
I get what you're saying. Why does it happen? In this case it clearly was brought up regarding the possible purchase of Rage, which isn't a typical Sony move… Unlike MS recent purchase of Minecraft, which is a preexisting multiplat IP.
Certain PlayStation fans can't just enjoy their system, they also need to run a constant campaign of aggressive self assurance by putting down every other console maker. A lot of it stems from the PS3's position last gen. No matter the amazing games that landed on the system, they were more preoccupied with how everyone else viewed Sony.
MS didn't buy the Minecraft IP. They bought the company that made the game, thus they got the IP as part of the deal. From what I've read about the move, MS has no plans to stop support of Minecraft on the Sony systems.
Not sure why I should care either way.

It has to be a third party game to incite any type of rage although anything these days incites rage, so they could announce an exclusive that's running at 720p.

Read Dead Sequel(maybe)
DMC5(doubtful)
Tekken 7 (very possible)
Final Fantasy 15 (no)
Soul Calibur 6 (wishful)
Soul Calibur 4 remaster(I wish)
Hexen Remake(no chance, lol)
I will be very disappointed if it is any of them at all.
Okay so Streets of Rage or the mediocre Rage is going PS4 exclusive. I'm hoping for the former because well, Rage was kind of crap to be honest.
Rage had a TON of potential it had an interesting world, great gun mechanics, and unique AI movement. If all that was put into an open world and guided alongside a major Sony studio you have a killer game right there.
Mercenaries 3 on PS4 in 1080p at 60fps, online multiplayer, each and every player can scan their face and customize their entire fit from head to toe…with current World Leaders as the targets…and everyone who buys it pre-order gets $10 US credit to the PS Store…and candy….

Red Dead Rebellion. With the PS4 being the number one console and the history Sony has with RockStar… That would be awesome and also piss off a lot of XBOXer's.
I'm just hoping it's not actual rage, and a good play on words relating to whatever game it is, as we've got plenty enough rage already! As always, I hope it's developed in-house and not just bought-out, would be a shame to see Sony go down the Microsoft "wait for a game to be far enough in development to look good, and pay a stupid amount of money for timed exclusivity" path – spend the money on new games :).

Resident Evil 7 will be ps4 exclusive, and it's will use all the ps4 power and become greatest RE game in history…
I'm hoping it's a new Streets of Rage, or Rage 2. I really don't understand why so many people thought Rage was mediocre. I loved everything about that game except the pathetic excuse of an ending, and excessive texture pop. But I am a sucker for id, collectible in game card games and John Goodman.
