Yes, they're still working on it. And they won't rest until everyone is racing online again.
Driveclub experienced major server issues immediately after its launch last week, which eventually resulted in developer Evolution Studios disabling online features to work on the problem.
Now, in an update at the game's Facebook page , the team says they're "working around the clock" to deliver fixes. Another update rolls out in the next 24 hours, and it should bolster the servers, along with enhancing multiplayer functionality. Evolution is also in the process of "running essential diagnostics" that will help network performance, although these tests could "disrupt online play."
"We're glad that more of you are getting to play online but we are sorry that many players are still having a hard time getting connected. We are working around the clock to improve connectivity and will keep you informed as we continue to make progress."
Cross your fingers that all this goes away relatively soon. We really don't want a repeat of last year's Battlefield 4 ordeal.

Jaysus lads !
Get the finger out.
i returned the game, single player didnt entice me enough to wait for online fix. im busy with destiny and diablo 3 right now
It's still an exceptionally good game imo – it'll just be a lot better when it all works! In it's defence, it's more reliable one week in than BF4 was, but that's not saying a whole lot – they've had a shocking launch from a network perspective.
They're overheating the mainframe, cap'n! PSN is down!
