PSN Goes Down For Maintenance On October 13

Mark your calendar, just so you know what's going on next week.

Sony has announced that the PlayStation Network will undergo routine maintenance on Monday, October 13. This will take about 7 hours, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. PDT.

This is when they'll "deploy a series of back-end improvements to the network," according to Sony's website .

If you've signed into the PSN since October 8, you'll still be able to play PS4, PS3 and Vita games online during the maintenance window. You can also still have access to apps like Netflix. Just remember that the PlayStation Store, PlayStation Home and Account Management features won't be operating. Well, that's okay, we're sure you can live without 'em for a few hours on a Monday.

Added Sony:

"We thank you for your patience and support and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause."

So long as it doesn't interfere with The Evil Within, I'm cool.

It's rather stupid that they're doing this on a national holiday. Thanksgiving in Canada and Columbus Day in America.

I mean, don't you want to typically avoid doing maintenance on holidays?
