Tekken 7 Info: Two New Fighters And Character Customization

Fighting aficionados are drooling over this one.

And now we've got new details for the upcoming Tekken 7 ; if you check GameSpot , they'll link you to a couple YouTube videos, each showing off a brand new fighter for the franchise: Claudio in one and Katarina in the other.

But there's more: Two huge enhancements to the gameplay will be found in the new Tekken installment; the first is Rage Arts and the second is Power Crush. Rage Arts let players execute fighter-specific commands to initiate a Rage State, which greatly increases damage and lets you access special moves. Power Crush consists of special abilities that can't be interrupted by your opponent, although you can still take damage.

Siliconera also has a bunch of fighter customization items, so we know that'll be a big part of the experience as well. Tekken 7 will utilize the popular Unreal Engine 4, and the game's graphics are about "60 percent" complete according to franchise director Katsuhiro Harada.

No date has been set for a console release, but it'll be in Japanese arcades next year.

Would've liked the new female character to be more natural n feminine n less explicit looking. Face doesn't match body at all. First time I saw face I thought it was more of the innocent type till I scrooled down a bit more lol.

IMO

Namco will most likely leave that feature to SoulCalibur. As long as they improve the character customization then it will be ok. They need to give us a big variety of clothing though none of this silly item shite like power ranger outfits & cake hats, just proper clothing items without the clowny bs.

Never cared for character customization in Tekken, in fact in TTT2 it was a hindrance as they had this fashion line up for the characters alternative clothes. So I spent most of my time getting the original 2nd costumes back for the characters – which you won by random. You couldn't even do the most basic thinks like make Heihachi not look like Mario…

Hyped about this! Getting it for sure.

Haven't owned my own Tekken since Tekken 3 and I skipped TTT3 because how late I am to it and the tag isn't my thing.

Hmmmm, after the let down of Tekken 6 I think I will leave this for a while, I just never go back to T6 as I can with T3 and TTT1. I've fallen out of love for Tekken ever since T5 brought in juggling to the max. I know after T4 was stale it needed a change but the series has lost its charm ever since. All the characters are on steroids and oddly shapped, Tekken has just become an anime fighter… at least the new characters aren't as goofy as Alisa.
