The Evil Within Gameplay Trailer Highlights Careful Strategy

Or, would you like a little help? Bethesda has released a new gameplay trailer for The Evil Within , and it's a pre-launch guide that explains the basics of managing ammo and supplies, and knowing when running is a better idea than fighting.

To accompany this video, Bethesda's Fran Reyes wrote a detailed blog post that talks more about the game's story, and offers more tricks on how to be successful. Unsurprisingly, she says the run 'n gun option is usually not a good idea, mostly because ammo is scarce and you'll want to make every bullet count.

You can also take advantage of bear traps, landmines and wall bombs, if you wish to be creative. The proper survival/horror adventure is strategic and demands your constant vigilance and innovation; you do what you must to stay alive!

The Evil Within launches on October 14 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.
