Bungie said in the past that once Destiny launches, the real work begins.
They weren't kidding. The developer has been working hard to release all sorts of patches and updates for the freshly released MMOFPS (if that's an accurate label), and now they've provided the community with some great developer notes .
The team identifies some of the issues facing the game, and also talks about upcoming changes and upgrades. For instance, they want to create the best possible communication system:
"Our vision for Destiny is that all players, even matchmade players in the Crucible, Strikes, the Tower, or public spaces, be able to communicate with one another in a way that promotes positive socialization. Voice communication is the easy answer, but existing voice paradigms, including those in our own Halo games, have not done enough to protect players from abusive griefing from a minority of players."
They're currently working on a short-term solution that gives you the chance to opt-in to voice chat when in matchmaking activities. They also addressed the issue of how long it takes to kill certain bosses, and you should see a fix for that as well. Other changes include better highlighting the progress you've made or the loot you've acquired, and balancing the weapons.
Yes, if they plan to keep supporting the game for years and years, the work really is just beginning.

I like the bosses how they are, difficulty-wise.
but theyre not even that hard if you have a good team going. though i see your point, it def can be a challenge sometimes. im just waiting to get in on the raid already, cant find a team yet
I agree with Shaytoon… with a good team, there ain't nothin' we can't overcome!
We always play at the highest difficulty the game allows on each mission. That level is perfect, I think!
ive been saying this since i played the alpha, this game has so much potential if bungie really plays their cards right. as long as they dont bring in microtransactions, that will kill the game. overall im satisfied with everything so far and cant wait to see whats in store.
Oh such fond memories of the Cave! I'm glad they patched it, and I'm also glad I had a chance to experience the Cave for a few days. Good times!
i will say the voice chat stuff is important for games like this one
happy gaming
