You're in seek of a legendary engram (or two) but they're not that easy to find.
Well, the Destiny community appears to have located a secret cave that makes the prospect of finding such awesome loot much more promising.
This cave, situated in the Old Russia hub and found near the Cosmodrome, is an endless spawn point for low-level enemies. Low-level they may be, but they can drop extremely valuable loot once they die. Force Strategy Gaming has created a special video guide that will help you make the most of this endeavor; check it out below.
Players have to arrive in the area in a group of two or more, and stand at a certain spot for the endlessly respawning acolytes and thralls to drop uncommon equipment and blue and purple engrams. However, you should display good etiquette when looting the cave, as posted at Reddit :
"Please don't run up every time you see something shiny drop. I get it, you need to know whether you've just dropped a legendary engram and not just some heavy ammo. But even if you have, it's not like you can equip it yet. And it makes it so much more rewarding picking up a ton of loot and not just one thing."
See, this is a subtle science, so do it right.

Holy crap! Someone slap me and call me Old MacDonald! I'll be a farming tonight!
Thanks for the post, Ben. I better try it out before Bungie take it down
Bungie will not take this down. Instead they did something fantastic. Around every hour or so there, a HUGE BATTLE erupts between the Hive and the eer wtf ever you call them. I mean they come in hoards.
It lasts around 10 minutes or so. But at the end every single character is an epic yellow monster and they are hard to kill. Tons and tons of em.
I love this game.
That's a regular event that occurs every 35 minutes…just happens to be in the area. The yellow guy is just an elite. Nothing special.
It's an exploit that will be patched..guaranteed. It's gotten way to much publicity and it's not the way the game was intended. I will bet any amount that this will be patched.
I'm actually curious to see how Bungee is going to handle this. There are many elitists who are up in arms about it and threaten to report people for exploiting. While this game isn't Ffxiv or xi for that matter and there are no paid subs, it's still an exploit. One that is bound to happen in every open world game.
At least they made money and items non tradeable. Or else the economy would be broken.

It's not an exploit though. It is just people taking advantage of Bungie's loot system.
From the Legendary Engram twitter account:
Roses are red
Your item is blue
Your engram was purple
Sucks to be you
That pretty much sums it up!
Pretty much.
I don't personally use this spawn, but I don't frown on it either.
Bungie created a loot system which at first seemed fair, basically ANY enemy in the game can drop ANY item. It doesn't take into account the enemies race or level. But it essentially means that Earth becomes a farm fest. People were eventually going to find the most efficient and effective way of grinding mobs.
The loot system now seems fairly frustrating.
This isn't the only location like this either, I found an area on Venus where there is 3 separate spawn points in the one area, all within shooting range, and all 3 spawn one after another.
well i suppose this is where the cummunity come together to help each other out
happy gaming
It's also great for leveling up a new character. I took my level 4 over and in about 20 minutes was up to level 11, if it took that long. You will also get a Public Event right behind that spot regularly also. That monster fight where they swarm out of the cave/warehouse is crazy! I was just jumping around clocking anything that moved. Despite all of the average review scores from people who just don't get it, this game is simply amazing because of one aspect: It's just fun to play.
While I haven't gotten any legendary drops from this yet (someone I was doing this with did), it's a simple way to level and get tons of green and blue drops… Ever since I saw this article, any time I go to near the cave, there's at least one or two people doing it… Bungie has got to realize this flaw, and I'll bet it's just a matter of time until it's fixed.
They just issued a hot fix for me this and scrapping Queen's bounty gear no longer yields Ascendant materials. Kind of disappointing, really
