If you want the full Alien: Isolation experience, you'll have to nab all the downloadable content.
As such, the DLC Pass is the best deal. It will include five expansions for the game's intense Survivor Mode and while a price wasn't confirmed, we learn on the PlayStation Blog that the Pass will save you 25 percent as opposed to purchasing all five DLC expansions separately.
The DLC features time-based challenges that tasks you with completing certain objectives while trying to escape a pursuing alien. At the game's launch, Survivor Mode will only come with one map called Basement but a few weeks later on October 28, the first DLC will arrive and that will boast three new maps, each with its own unique set of objectives and enemies to kill. Fans will even get the option of a new playable character.
The second Survival Mode expansion is set for November and the rest will follow. Additionally, Sega announced that anyone who pre-orders the game will receive an automatic upgrade to the Nostromo Edition, which includes two bonus missions with stars from the original 1979 film classic. If you don't pre-order, you'll be able to purchase this content at a later date.
Alien: Isolation is almost ready to go; it'll release on October 7 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.
