So, do you like the episodic idea?
Capcom has announced that Resident Evil Revelations 2 , in development for the PS4, Xbox One, PS3 and Xbox 360, will be released in episodic installments, akin to the super popular Walking Dead series.
The original Revelations told its story via TV-like episodes, so this is an extension of that approach. The sequel is comprised of four main chapters and they'll be released as individual episodes over the course of four weeks; one each week. The episodes will go for $6 each or you can purchase the Complete Season for $25, which doesn't offer any savings, obviously, but will net you some "additional game content."
After the episodes are released digitally, Capcom will launch a disc-based version of the game. This will retail for $40 but it'll boast "further gameplay content" in addition to the additional stuff included with the Complete Season. You up for it?

D.O.A.? And I don't mean the fighting game.
Ugh, I hate episodic games. The problem I have with most TV's shows is that they narrow the content down into episodes and fail to breach wider story arks – Some shows like Breaking Bad to counter-act this though. It just comes back to the same problem I have with DLC – I just don't like my games in bit. I get why they do it, it keeps the product in the public eye for longer, but I don't think that is worth compromising the structure of a game fore.
WTF for!?
god i HATE episodic games its just so stupid!
you get into something and start enjoying it than all of a sudden you get the rug pulled out from under you.
and you have to wait forever to continue the story, and when it finally releases so much times passed you have forgotten everything and no longer give a sh*t!
cough the walking dead………..
Meeeh i'll just wait for the forty dollar disc version.
Capcom what happened to you. You were one of my favorite 3rd party developers in the 6th generation and somewhere in the 7th gen you fell off hard. I hope that you come back to us in this new 8th gen but this type of stuff only makes me sad.
