Resident Evil Revelations 2 will feature a returning popular character and a new face.
According to the November 2014 issue of Gamemaster magazine (as cited by Push-Start-Play ), players will assume the roles of series mainstay Claire Redfield and newcomer Moira Burton, the daughter of Barry Burton.
The information comes courtesy of Revelations 2 producer Michiteru Okabe, and we also learn that the story will be set between RE6 and RE6. Okabe emphasized that the gameplay will be "much more survival/horror-oriented," which is definitely good news. The campaign will support single-player and co-op play but interestingly, only Claire's death will result in a Game Over screen. See, she's all about combat while Moira is more about support, as she'll use a flashlight, heal, and offer "general support."
The anticipated follow-up effort is headed to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, and all versions should run at 1080p and 60 frames per second.
