Pre-Ordering Advanced Warfare Nets You A Destiny Item

You had to assume there'd be some cross-pollination, as the same publisher is producing both games.

Activision has announced another pre-order incentive for the upcoming Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare , and this one ties in with the company's other blockbuster, Destiny .

Pre-ordering the new CoD in the US will net you a Level 20 "Legendary" Blacksmith Armor Shader for Bungie's anticipated shared-world shooter, which is scheduled to launch next week. The Armor Shader is an in-game item that lets you apply various shades of gun metal gray, bullet brass yellow, or metallic silver to your character. However, you'd have to put your deposit down before September 21 to receive this little bonus.

Don't forget that pre-ordering Advanced Warfare means you're automatically upgraded to the Day Zero Edition, which lets you in on the action a day early.

To me this seems like they're trying to piggyback off of Destiny using some pre-order incentive.

I know right. How dare they offer incentives for people to pre order their games!

"Day Zero Edition" for CoD is a bit of a joke, isn't it? In the past, umm… 4 or 5 CoDs, have they ever had a successful first day error free multiplayer experience?
(at least not on the Playstation platform)

Honestly it is a better pre-order incentive than all the other crap that people offer us as pre-order incentives.

I mean, if you are THAT excited for a game that you pre-order it, putting your money down months before the game even releases, then you should be given something pretty special, no?

Dont know why you guys are hating on Activision for giving this.

It's just a small extra incentive to get both. Most people that want to get both will probably have it preordered anyway.
